Where Does Our Company’s Name Come From?

EVA is the abbreviation of Earned Value Analysis” and “Economic Value Added” techniques. Besides, it’s the abridged form of “evaluation”.

What does our company’s name stand for?

EVA represents the short form of the techniques Earned Value Analysis and Economic Value Added. In addition, it can also be used as the abbreviation for the word “evaluation” in English.

Economic Value Added (EVA): The Economic Value Added (EVA) technique was first introduced by Stern Steward &Co to the financial   world, as a registered approach. The keynote of this approach is correct appreciation and maximization of the value created, from the point of view the shareholders.

Evaluation:  Use of data for the purpose of deciding for a project after making necessary controls is defined as evaluation. It also covers tracking and making use of the changes in and development of these data. Evaluation intends to answer generally accepted questions and to make decisions in special cases. As in other types of analysis, systematic collection and deliberate interpretation of data is of vital importance for a better evaluation. The discriminating characteristic of evaluation is to appraise the value of anything, and subsequently, to act upon. During the appraisal study, the use of results achieved is aimed.

Earned Value Analysis (EVA): Being a standardized computation method, Earned Value Analysis examines the difference between “the actual” and “the planned”, in the development process of a project, from the project rate of return point of view, estimating the completion date and final cost of the project.
